Paphos, located on the western part of Cyprus island is listed as the UNESCO heritage site for its ancient remains in the archaeological park. As 2017 European Capital of Culture, Paphos' city center has been renovated and is again starting to live. Paphos harbour, located approximately 4 km (2.5miles) south from the center and next to the archaeological park offers wide variety of shops, bars and restaurants and it's fresh breeze of air accompanies you for a nice walk.
The archaeological park itself is barrier free but be ready to climb some stairs. There are few shades and during the summer time the visit can get very hot and tiring for children and babies. There is no snack shop within the area, so don't forget to bring enough fluids with you. Only one restroom is to be found between the House of Orpheus and Paphos Mosaics and it doesn´t include baby changing desk.
Although Paphos has its own airport, airports in Limassol or Larnaka are more frequent and it's best to get there by a rented car from anywhere you stay in Cyprus.
