The Élisa Mercoeur square is a beautiful public garden in Nantes. It was created after WWII and was used as shelter for families affected by the bombings. In 1993 Eric Fonteneau created a beautiful fountain in the middle of the park. Later, in 2012 the park was completely reconstructed - people planted trees and flowers thus making it an ideal park to spend some relaxation time with your family.

The place is very beautiful, healthy and filled with nature. You can show your kids a diversity of plants and trees after which your kids can play on monkey bars installed nearby, or you can have some snack near the beautiful fountain in the middle of the park.
If you want to spend the day in peace the Élisa Mercoeur garden is a great place for you.
