Aphrodite's Rock

Aphrodite's rock is supported by many legends, starting back at the age of Olympic Gods. The officially called Petra tou Romiou (Roman's rock) bay with one of Cyprus´ most beautiful beaches is located approximately 20km south-east of Paphos. The pebbled beach is a great place for relaxing, picnic or for a short swim. There is one myth saying that if a woman will swim around the rock 7x, she will find eternal youth and love. The officially called Petra tou Romiou (Roman's rock) bay with one of Cyprus´ most beautiful beaches is located approximately 20km south-east of Paphos. The pebbled beach is a great place for relaxing, picnic or for a short swim. There is one myth saying that if a woman will swim around the rock 7x, she will find eternal youth and love. Few alredy lost their lives because of strong underwater streems, so we wouldn't test it.

From the parking lot to the rock, you need to climb few stairs down, go through tiny pedestrian tunnel and then continue on sandy beach, therefore we recommend to leave your stroller in the car. The parking lot is close to the beach anyway (2 min walk) and you can carry your baby in your arms. Get some refreshments and souvenires from the Tourist kiosk located right before the stairs at the parking lot but don't expect baby changing room/desk or any baby amenities. The entrance is for free.
