Just in middle of the Swiss Appenzell mountains is a perfect trek for Summer time. The Aescher-Wildkirchli guesthouse (opened May-Nov) is carved into the rock and the hike to it either from the top or bottom offers great adventure... but this time forget the buggy. If your knees allow, we recommend to take the lift from Wasserauen to the Ebenalp peak and the hike down through the amazing Wildkirchli caves.
