Obstacle races are not our typical place or activity to review, as your kids need to be bit older, but we still feel it's worth sharing. Those runs are quite famous family activity in Australia, especially if you and your children are mudder fans. There are few in Brisbane, such as Little Big Dash located in Limestone Park (3km course with 10 obstacles for kids between the ages of 5- 15 years) or the Kiddyhawk. Run by Operation Blackhawk, the Kiddyhawk obstacle mud run has been designed as a mini version of the adult’s Battlefield Challenge held the same weekend. The 2km course provides an exciting and challenging experience for kids 3 – 13 years old.

These attractions are cool for active kids but you have to be prepared that in the end all of you will be dirty as chimneysweeper. So no theater visit planned after the run.
