If you’re interested more in the outside of the palace, make sure you leave yourself enough time for the aligned gardens with free entry. There is also a small park with playground in front of the palace, accessible by metro (with elevator) or you can get there by bus (exit at the Opera house and then stroll for couple minutes. Unlike other sights, Royal palace offer special free entrance for certain days and hours. Children under 5 years are for free always.
